 Border Management

Diamond Palace has developed a superior border control system and successfully deployed it in Brunei, Kuwait, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Travellers crossing the border – entering or departing – get their passports scanned within just a few seconds. The software offers several possibilities – from authenticity checks of the travel document to comparison with existing entries in the database.

The verification of biometrics and e-passports and smart cards is already implemented. The Malaysian Border Control System is working in combination with an AFIS, which has also been delivered by Diamond Palace.

Ever since the deployment of this new border control solution it has been impossible for impostors to enter Malaysia by using different identities and not being noticed by the immigration authorities.

 Law Enforcement

As one of the pioneers in the IT field of biometric identification, Diamond Palace has been engaged in the research and development of biometric systems since the beginning of the 80’s.

Diamond Palace is one of the providers with the broadest product range in this field, and the only German provider of AFIS (Automated Finger print Identification System) solutions.

The Diamond Palace AFIS is the first software system running on Windows platforms. Thus, Diamond Palace overcame the premise of other manufacturers who force a dependency on their customers (governments) to proprietary hardware.

Diamond Palace installed criminal AFIS’ for law enforcement purposes in several countries all over the world. Latent fingerprints for example, found at crime scenes, are submitted to the AFIS. The Diamond Palace AFIS is able to process even latent images of poor quality.

The Diamond Palace AFIS is one of the most popular and renowned fingerprint identification systems for criminal investigation worldwide.

 

 Finger Payment

Payment with just a fingerprint is no longer a problem if you use Diamond Palace’s finger payment system.

This secure and trendsetting process is not only extremely convenient for customers – once they have been registered, they no longer need to bring their purse for a spontaneous purchase –, but it also increases efficiency for the retailer as it reduces the average payment process time from fifty seconds to two.

Diamond Palace Finger Payment also significantly increases security for both retailer and customer as payment cards and bank notes become dispensable and the whole payment process is handled through the customer’s fingerprint.

No passwords or pin codes are required.

Since the fingerprint is not saved permanently as an actual image, but as an encoded template generated from the acquired image, privacy rights are not infringed and there is no possibility for third parties to steal fingerprint images. No other institution can access the saved data and use it for conducting comparisons.

The Finger payment process is carried out through high-tech point-of-sales terminals which usually work as a great attraction for customers, creating new customer retention and therefore represent a great marketing benefit.

Thanks to increasing efficiency and a growing customer base Diamond Palace Finger Payment on average amortizes within just six months after implementation.

 

 Civil AFIS

With its technology, Diamond Palace Civil AFIS provides an important contribution to the exposure and identification of persons who seek to take advantage of social services on multiple occasions or try to authorize themselves by supplying incorrect personal information and data, or who assume the identity of another person in order to escape justice.

In addition, Diamond Palace Civil AFIS reliably traces “duplicates” and “ghosts” in connection with drivers’ licenses, passports, gun licenses, registration of persons entitled to vote, payment of pensions, location of unwilling alimony payers, etc.

 

 Criminal AFIS & Palm AFIS

The Diamond Palace Criminal AFIS – employed by police departments, federal police, intelligence services, the military and judicial authorities all around the world – provides extensive support in the investigation of crimes and consequently in protecting society.

The use of fingerprint identification (dactyloscopy) and its biometric application (AFIS) is sanctioned by legal systems throughout the world.

As a consequence criminals can be convicted exclusively on the basis of identified fingerprints that they leave at the scene. For this, as an example, in many countries at least 12 minutiae must be identified. As a matter of course, the advanced status and market orientation of the Diamond Palace AFIS technology is constantly guaranteed by our active participation in the advisory committees of international police organizations.

The AFIS, Diamond Palace’s core product, is the result of more than 20 years of experience in the development of Automatic Fingerprint Identification Systems (“AFIS”). The Diamond Palace AFIS is used worldwide in governmental institutions as well as in small to medium-zed companies to multinational enterprises. It achieves the highest possible identification and hit rates in service – in small as well as in large databases.

Diamond Palace offers the full breadth of integrated homeland security systems that range from citizen’s identification and travel documents to border control management.
